The Pterobat is a strong and fast flyer, if a bit miserable. However, back on earth the creature’s unreliable echo location was its downfall. Like the first versions of many new inventions, it simply didn’t work!

Suffering from an appalling sense of direction, Big Black Bats would set off every night to explore and forage for food only to fly straight into the walls of their caves.
