Last known specimen collected in 1825 on Mauke, Cook Islands.

Mystery surrounded the Mysterious Starling for over 100 years, scientists being unsure as to where a stuffed bird in a museum had come from.

The bird was finally tracked down to Mauke Island and a record made by a sea captain who recorded seeing the bird (and bringing it home) in 1825. On Infinity, the Mysterious Starling has taken its name to heart being both mysterious by name and by nature.

Story Role

Whisper is a sleek black starling with shimmering feathers that change colour in the light. She doesn’t do much in our story… apart from commenting… mysteriously… but she does have a great name 🙂
